   The 9th international conference on Odours and VOCs will take place in Bilbao on 26 and 27 October, and the Department of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment will collaborate as a gold sponsor. The Basque Government believes that the conference aligns with the BASQUE GREEN DEAL (BGD) strategy the Basque model for a fair and sustainable economic development, in line with the European Green Pact.

   The BGD includes the objectives of reducing emissions and generating renewable energy, but it is not limited to these areas, as it is born as an economic model with industry and technology as the main levers, so that science, technology, circular economy, industry, energy transition or the food chain itself are aligned with the same objective. The aim is to make progress in the objectives of reducing emissions and generating renewable energy, inspired by the principle of technological neutrality.

   We would like to welcome DAM (Depuración de Aguas del Mediterráneo) to the 2021 IWA Odours Conference. They have chosen to support the 9th IWA Odour and VOC/ Air Emissions Conference that will take place on the 25th and 26th in Bilbao through silver sponsor.
