The 11th Conference on Odours in the Environment, organized by VDI, has just published the provisional program. This conference promises to be an important event for professionals engaged in odour measurement, dispersion modelling, regulation, and mitigation. Scheduled for November 18-19, 2025, at the Wyndham Grand Salzburg Conference Centre in Salzburg, the program features keynote presentations, case studies, workshops, and a special focus on odour dispersion modelling.

The provisional program for the 11th VDI Conference on Odours in the Environment has now been published. Participants can look forward to an extensive lineup of presentations and discussions covering a wide range of topics such as the comparison of dispersion calculations and immission measurements, legal aspects of odour regulation in Germany and Austria, new VDI guideline developments, and practical applications in real-world settings. The program also includes a special workshop on psychological rhetoric for managing conflict situations, poster presentations, and an industry exhibition.

The 11th VDI Conference, "Odours in the Environment," will take place on November 18-19, 2025, at the Wyndham Grand Salzburg Conference Centre in Salzburg, Austria, and promises to be a key gathering for odour management professionals from the German-speaking world.

The previous edition in Leipzig, which had approximately 160 participants, was hailed as a resounding success. This year's special theme will focus on "Odour Dispersion Modelling and the Practical Challenges in Real-World Applications." Suppose you are an expert in odour emissions, ambient air measurements, or odour forecasting, and you know a bit of German. In that case, this is your opportunity to share your insights and engage in discussions with other professionals in the field.

We regret to announce the cancellation of the international conference ODORA25, which was scheduled to take place on September 16 and 17, 2025, at the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao, Spain.

After carefully evaluating the current circumstances, we have been forced to make this difficult decision due to logistical and organizational factors that prevent us from ensuring the optimal development of the event. We are fully aware of the inconvenience this cancellation may cause to speakers, attendees, and partner companies who had already shown interest in participating, and we would like to express our sincere gratitude for the support and trust received.
