Once again, the Olfasense company has opened the registration for the annual Proficiency Test for Olfactometry based on EN 13725:2022, to demonstrate the laboratories' compliance with its performance requirements and compare the performance of each laboratory internationally.
On this occasion, the measurements for the proficiency test will be carried out between August 26th and September 6th, 2024, inclusive. All interested lab companies must confirm their participation by May 24th, 2024 at the latest, been April 5th, 2024 the more economical early bird registration due-date.
The proficiency test allows participating laboratories to ascertain the key performance criteria as defined in EN 13725:2022, specifically:
- precision under repeatability conditions r, and
- accuracy A for 1-butanol.
This year, in addition to the usual 1-butanol samples, there's also the opportunity to measure pressurized gas samples of Tetrahydrothiophen (THT), allowing your lab to compare its performance with other participating laboratories using real samples.
