Registration Open for the 2025 InterCinD Olfactometry Proficiency Test

InterCinD, the division of Italian company Lab Service dedicated to Interlaboratory testing, is pleased to announce the organization of its annual Proficiency Test (PT) for Olfactometry, in accordance with the latest EN 13725:2022 standard. All olfactometric laboratories (European or non-European) are invited to participate in this 2025 edition to confirm compliance with the required performance criteria.

Registration for this year’s Proficiency Test is officially open and will remain available until July 14, 2025. This event stands as one of the most significant Proficiency Testing exercises in Europe focused on odour measurement.

As in previous years, InterCinD is offering participants the option to evaluate Tetrahydrothiophene (THT) samples in addition to the standard n-butanol samples. This enables laboratories to benchmark their THT results against other participants. Laboratories may choose to receive:

  • n-Butanol 10 bottles: two sets composed of 5 bottles at 2 different levels of concentrations, and/or
  • 3 bottles of THT.

Laboratories interested on registration process must complete the form before the deadline of 14th July 2025. The shipment of selected samples is scheduled for the second or third week of November 2025.

For those interested, the subscription form is available for download [here]. To learn more about this year’s Proficiency Test, please visit the InterCinD website.
