There’s Still Time! Apply for the 24h‑MOM Travel Awards to Attend your favourite Odour Conferences

   The 24h‑MOM organization would like to remind the odour research community that the call for the 2026–2027 Travel Awards for Odour Conferences is still open. These grants aim to support PhD students wishing to attend odour‑related conferences, workshops, or advanced courses during 2026 and 2027, fostering participation and knowledge exchange among young researchers.

   A total of four (4) individual awards of 1,100 € each are available to help cover travel, registration, accommodation, and other related expenses. Candidates should be pursuing doctoral studies in fields such as environmental, chemical, or electronic engineering, environmental sciences, chemistry, biotechnology, microbiology, air quality, or water and waste management.

    Eligible events include those organised or co‑organised by well‑established organisations and technical committees, such as A&WMA, ISOCS, DOS, IWA, WEF, CASANZ, AIDIC, JAOE, KLPOC, IEEE, VDI/DIN, AMIGO, and other odour‑focused groups or networks.

How to apply

   Interested candidates are invited to submit their application via email to 24h‑mom@olores.org with the subject line “24h‑MOM Award Application – [Your Name]”. The application must be submitted in a PDF including:

  • A completed application form (template available here)
  • A one‑page motivation letter describing the purpose and relevance of the selected event
  • The abstract of the applicant’s presentation, if applicable (title, authors, format)
  • A short support letter from the supervisor or a collaborating researcher
  • A short CV (maximum 2 pages)

Timeline

  • Application deadline: 25 April 2026, 23:59 CET
  • Notification of selected candidates: 5 May 2026

Recipients are kindly requested to acknowledge the 24h‑MOM Award in their presentation and to send a short report about their participation after the event.
