osd october 2018   October is coming, and once again the Odour Study Day is here. This is the 12th edition of this event and as usual it will be delivered at their odour laboratory in Bedfordshire, in partnership with RSK-ADAS. The Odour Study Day is scheduled for the 24th of October. This event will be a very interesting spot for those in need for a deeper insight on odour theory. This course has been developed by leading odour professionals based on their own extensive experience. It provides clear, up-to-date guidance on the principles, concepts and methods of odour management.

   The Odour Study Day is the only CPD-Certified odour management and control training course, and has been endorsed by the Institute of Air Quality Management. The primary areas of learning includes sampling and odour measurement, dispersion modelling, odour complaints, odour abatement plant performance, systematic field odour surveys, and odour and EPR/IPPC.

workshop dnoses   The Scientific Group Leader of the D-NOSES project, Laura Capelli, with the collaboration of the organization of the NOSE conference has organized a D-NOSES workshop in the framework of the NOSE Conference that will take place next week in Milan, Italy.

webinar trinity consultants   The Canadian branch of Trinity Consultants is organizing a free 1-hour webinar about Odour Best Management Practice Plans (BMPPs) the 25th of September at 2:00 PM EST/EDT. This free webinar will cover a quick overview of odour with a focus on BMPPs for prescribed facilities in Ontario.

   The principles of these BMPPs can be applied to any facility seeking to establish a BMPP, even if not formally required by their jurisdiction. Proactive odour management, such as establishing BMPPs, can help reduce the risk of negative outcomes associated with odour nuisance. This presentation is intended to inform personnel at industrial facilities about odour basics and ways to reduce environmental risk through the establishment of odour BMPPs.
