This free webinar will cover a quick overview of odour with a focus on BMPPs for prescribed facilities in Ontario.

   The principles of these BMPPs can be applied to any facility seeking to establish a BMPP, even if not formally required by their jurisdiction. Proactive odour management, such as establishing BMPPs, can help reduce the risk of negative outcomes associated with odour nuisance. This presentation is intended to inform personnel at industrial facilities about odour basics and ways to reduce environmental risk through the establishment of odour BMPPs.

webcast temporary odour controlThe Water Environmental Federation (WEF) is organizing a webinar the 15th of February at 1 PM Eastern Time about temporary odour control for Waste Water Treatment Plants (WWTP) and collection Systems. This interesting webinar is free for WEF members and it has a cost of 40 euro for non-WEF members. This webcast will help by focusing on three major categories for temporary odour control: Temporary Construction & Process Techniques, Chemical Addition and Portable Odour Control Systems.

   The WEF has organized many webcasts in the past related to odour management. This event is mainly dealing with practical solutions to prevent odour releases, that are driven by concerns to be a good neighbour and sometimes by regulatory priorities. Speakers of this webcast will be Scott Cowden and Bart Kraakman from CH2M/Jacobs,  Chris Hunniford, from V&A Consulting Engineers, Shirley Edmondson, from Black & Veatch and the moderator will be the well-known Neil Webster from Webster Environmental Associates.

Next OSD    After the success of their last Odour Study Day, that took place on the 16th November 2017, at Wrest Park in Bedfordshire, UK, Silsoe Odours has announced the next one-day course for the 6th March 2018.

   This popular one day course, organised by Silsoe Odours in partnership with RSK-ADAS, will be beneficial to regulators, odorous industries and abatement equipment suppliers. Bringing together people involved with the detection, management and control of odours, during this well-known odour management training day, assistants will hear from industry-leading odour experts including Robert Sneath, Director of Silsoe Odours, at their specialist odour laboratory in Bedfordshire.
