Determination of Chemical prints of VOCs through GC-IMS and its Application in Detection of Odoriferous Substances
In this paper, the possibility of faster measures for determination of chemical prints of VOCs and odours through GC-IMS technique has been evaluated.
The results from air samples of different locations in a metropolitan wastewater treatment works in the UK are shown.

Abstract
In order to evaluate the possibility of faster measures for determination of chemical prints of VOCs and odours through GC-IMS technique, and its potential use as a tool in continuous monitoring, air samples from different locations in a metropolitan wastewater treatment works in the UK were analysed. The results showed different chemical prints of volatiles in each sample and a positive relation with results obtained by olfactometry, which suggests an additional utility for monitoring odour compounds.
