Odours reduction using Ozone in the emission of a Rendering plant

Oxicrew   The purpose of this article is to evaluate the effectiveness of the ozone technology. In this case study, an ozone unit was inserted after a chemical scrubber. Odour samples were taken before the scrubbing, after the scrubber (and before the ozone unit), and after the whole set of abatement. Very high efficiencies were found.

To this end, a test was carried out treating with ozone a part of the flow of a chimney in an animal by-products processing plant. The report of the VOCs and odours analysis laboratory confirmed the test success.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to make the effectiveness of the ozone technology known as an oxidative solution to the odours caused by the volatile organic compounds generated in the industry. To this end, a test was carried out treating with ozone a part of the flow of a chimney in an animal by-products processing plant. The report of the VOCs and odours analysis laboratory confirmed the test success.
