ODORA returns: ODORA27 now has dates and venue

   Following the success of ODORA24 and the subsequent cancellation of ODORA25, Olores.org resumes the organization of its international odour conference with a new edition: ODORA27, which will take place from 10 to 11 November 2027 at the Euskalduna Conference Centre in Bilbao, Spain.

    ODORA27 will once again bring together international experts in odour management, including researchers, technicians, consultants, public authorities, and professionals from sectors such as waste treatment, wastewater, the agri-food industry, livestock, etc. On this occasion, the conference will be held entirely in English, reinforcing its international scope and facilitating the participation of experts from around the world.

Online Webinar: The challenge of validating Odour Dispersion models with the Grid Method

   On 16 September 2026, from 14:00 to 16:00 (online), we will host a free webinar dedicated to a topic that is of growing interest worldwide: the validation of odour dispersion models using the grid method defined in EN 16841‑1.

   Consultants run odour dispersion models around the world, but because odour concentration is difficult to measure reliably in ambient air, there is no practical way to know whether the model predictions are right or wrong. With the approach developed and applied in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, along the last over 40 years, it is possible to check the performance of a model and verify whether an odour dispersion assessment has been done correctly against field measurements.

   The international conference NOSE 2026 has concluded its latest edition with very positive feedback, confirming its position as a leading event in the field of odour monitoring and control, as well as volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

   Held from 6 to 8 July 2026 in Bologna, Italy, the event brought together experts from both academia and industry in an environment defined by technical exchange and collaboration.

All the Presentations from 24h-MOM, the World-Wide event Held in November 2025

   All presentations from the first edition of the 24h Marathon on Odour/Odor Management (24h-MOM), held worldwide over 24 uninterrupted hours on November 12, 2025, have been released progressively on a daily basis during the first months of 2026. All videos are now available on Youtube and can be found here, compiled in a single article.

   The event was organized by the global organizations CASANZ, A&WMA, AMIGO, JAOE, WEF, IEEE, ISOCS, DOS, IWA, KLOPC, AIDIC, and VDI, with coordination by Olores.org. FWEA announces its 2027 global conference on air quality and odor control

   The Florida Water Environment Association (FWEA), in collaboration with the Air Quality & Odor Control community of the Water Environment Federation (WEF), has announced the 2027 FWEA Air Quality and Odor Control Global Conference, which will take place from March 8 to 10, 2027 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Orlando, Florida.

    The event will bring together professionals from around the world involved in odor management and air pollutant control, with the aim of sharing experiences, technical solutions, and innovative approaches for controlling odor and air emissions. The technical program will include oral presentations, interactive discussions, technology exhibits, and networking opportunities.

InterCinD opens registration for IC2026ODOR gas proficiency test

   LabService Analytica S.r.l., through its InterCinD division, has opened registration for IC2026ODOR, an accredited proficiency test (PT) scheme for gas analysis. The scheme is organised in accordance with the standard EN ISO/IEC 17043:2023 and is designed to help laboratories assess their analytical performance under conditions that reflect routine practice.

   This edition covers two measurands: n-butanol and tetrahydrothiophene (THT). InterCinD will provide gas cylinders at two concentration levels for n-butanol and one set of cylinders for THT, allowing participants to evaluate both precision and accuracy within a structured interlaboratory comparison.
