In the opening of the eighth week of the year, during the meetings of the Working Groups of the European Committee on Standardization (CEN), a round table will be held in Trieste, to discuss and define technical standards for characterization of odours.  A workshop (mainly in Italian language) is proposed for the presentation of consolidated methods for technical characterization of olfactory nuisances and a round table (in English) for discussing open issues on the above mentioned subjects.

Relevant Italian experts such as Laura Capelli, Magda Brattoli, Andrea N. Rossi, or Ivano Bataglia will present some key concepts of odour management and the state of some relevant legislative texts in Italy. Also Mr. van Harreveld, convenor of WG2 and WG41 will present some relevant aspects of the development of the standards. The session will be chaired by Mr Pierluigi Barbieri.
